Radium Psychology Therapy towards a Better Solution
Therapy in Windermere Alberta
Trauma Treatment

You may not look like someone who is struggling. You are competent, dependable, and successful by every visible measure. You manage teams, families, deadlines, and expectations with precision. People rely on you. They admire how much you carry. But privately, you are exhausted.Your mind rarely slows down. Your nervous system feels constantly “on.” Sleep doesn’t feel restorative. You find yourself overthinking, burnt out, overworking, and holding more than anyone realizes. You are functioning at a high level — but it takes far more effort than it should.

I, Kris Ravindran, Registered Psychologist and Owner of Radium Psychology, work with high-functioning professionals and business owners who are tired of holding it all together alone. Therapy here is not  about fixing you. It is about helping you feel less burdened, more grounded, and able to live without the constant internal strain. You don't have to carry it all alone. Help is available. My sessions are structured and focused on helping you achieve the following goals:

-A quieter mind, reduced anxiety without losing your  edge, and relief from the constant emotional load of carrying work, family, and responsibility.

-Clearer thinking, confident decision-making, and the ability to set boundaries without guilt.

-Ability to be more present at home, sleep more restfully, and sustain  performance without cycling through burnout — living and leading with steadiness rather than strain.

Water Splash in Motion

Radium Psychology was inspired by a moment of personal clarity at Radium Hot Springs, by founder of Krisanthini Ravindran. She experienced a profound sense of relief and direction—both mentally and spiritually during a challenging time in her life while having a heart to heart conversation with her father about the challenges she was facing. At Radium Psychology, I believe that you can find the same sense of clarity and direction through my authentic, compassionate and professional counseling services. I believe in therapy with tangible solutions.

Other issues I can help you with.

1. Anxiety

Anxiety can leave you feeling on edge, restless, or trapped in cycles of overthinking. Whether it’s social anxiety, panic, constant worry, or stress that never seems to ease, therapy offers a calm, supportive space to regain control. Together, we work on understanding the root causes, breaking unhelpful patterns, and build practical tools to feel more grounded, confident, and at ease in your daily life.

I can help with:

  • Greater emotional regulation and calm

  • Increased ability to identify and manage triggers

  • Reduction in physical symptoms (e.g., restlessness, tension)

  • More confidence in facing uncertainty and change

  • Improved sleep, focus, and day-to-day functioning

2. Depression

Depression can make even the simplest tasks feel overwhelming. You might notice changes in energy, sleep, appetite, motivation, or mood. Therapy helps you navigate these challenges with compassion and evidence-based strategies.

I can help with:

  • Uncovering and treating root cause

  • Renewed sense of hope and purpose

  • Improved mood, energy levels, and motivation

  • Strengthened coping skills and emotional resilience

  • Healthier routines and restored engagement in meaningful activities

  • Reduced isolation and increased connection to others

3. Imposter Syndrome

Imposter syndrome can make you doubt your abilities, dismiss your achievements, and fear being “found out” as not good enough—even when your successes prove otherwise. You may feel like you don’t belong, that your accomplishments are just luck, or that you must work twice as hard to keep up appearances. Over time, this constant self-questioning can lead to stress, anxiety, burnout, and missed opportunities.

I can help with:

  • Reduction in self-doubt and fear of being “found out”

  • Increased self-trust and confidence in personal and professional roles

  • Ability to internalize achievements and recognize self-worth

  • Development of a more realistic and compassionate self-view

  • Greater ease in setting boundaries and receiving recognition

4. Low Self-Esteem

Low self-esteem can shape how you see yourself, make decisions, and connect with others. You may find yourself stuck in self-criticism, doubt, or people-pleasing.

I can help with:

  • Reduction in self-critical thinking and shame

  • Strengthened self-image and inner voice

  • Building a confident and authentic self

  • Healthier relationships rooted in mutual respect and self-respect

  • Improved ability to set boundaries and advocate for needs

  • A more empowered sense of identity and self-acceptance

5. Women's Sensuality & Self-Connection

Many women experience disconnection from their sensual selves due to stress, body image concerns, trauma, or life transitions. Therapy offers a compassionate space to explore your relationship with your body, emotions, and pleasure—helping you reconnect with self-confidence, authenticity, and a sense of aliveness in all areas of life.

I can help with:

  • Reconnection with body wisdom and feminine energy

  • Greater self-trust, embodiment, and confidence in expressing needs/desires

  • Healing from internalized shame and sexual disconnection

  • Improved intimacy in relationships (with self and others)

  • A deeper, more joyful relationship with pleasure, creativity, and self-expression

6. Grief & Loss

Grief touches every part of life—emotional, physical, and spiritual. Whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or a major life change.

I can help with:

  • A safe space to process and express painful emotions without judgment

  • Greater understanding of the grief process and how it unfolds uniquely for each person

  • Reduction in feelings of isolation, numbness, or overwhelming sadness

  • Ability to integrate the loss into one’s life without being defined by it

  • Renewed capacity for connection, meaning-making, and hope

  • Exploring personal rituals, memories, or practices that honour the person or thing lost

  • Rebuilding of a sense of purpose and identity after loss.

7.  Ageing and Age-related issues

Aging can bring both rewards and challenges. Whether you’re adjusting to retirement, coping with health changes, navigating grief, or redefining your sense of purpose, therapy offers a supportive space to explore your experiences. Together, we focus on building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and helping you maintain meaning, connection, and dignity through every stage of life.

I can help with:

  • Improved emotional well-being – Reduced feelings of anxiety, sadness, or loneliness.

  •  Practical strategies to manage life transitions and changes in independence.

  • Enhanced social connection – Rekindling relationships or building new support networks.

  • Adaptation to physical and cognitive changes – Tools to maintain quality of life and independence.

  • Sense of purpose and meaning – Reconnecting with values, interests, and fulfilling activities.

  • Greater self-compassion – Accepting and honoring the aging process with dignity.

8. Men's Mental Health

Men face unique pressures—whether it’s the weight of providing for a family, meeting career expectations, navigating relationships, or coping with life’s challenges in a culture that often discourages vulnerability. These pressures can take a toll on mental and emotional well-being, sometimes leading to stress, anger, burnout, depression, anxiety, or difficulty communicating needs.

I can help with:

  • Offering a confidential and judgment-free space to talk openly

  • Healthier coping strategies – Moving away from avoidance or unhealthy habits toward positive change.

  • Greater emotional awareness – Recognizing and understanding emotions without feeling overwhelmed.

  • Balanced sense of self – Defining personal strength in a way that supports mental and emotional well-being.

  • Better stress management – Tools to handle work, family, and personal pressures more effectively.

  • Improved mood and outlook – Reduced symptoms of anxiety, depression, or irritability.

About Kris

What is Kris' Personality and what does she bring to her sessions?

Kris has been told that she is warm, kind and authentic. Her first goal is to ensure that you are feeling heard, seen and understood because everyone wants to know that someone "gets them."
Coming to therapy can be a nerve-wracking experience especially if it's your first time. Oftentimes, clients don't know what to expect. During her  first session, she will briefly discuss what your first session will cover. This takes the guesswork out of it and eases the anxiety that often comes with attending therapy for the first time and not knowing what to expect.

Other fun facts about Kris:

She loves reading, dancing and has a big appetite. She is a people person and her therapy sessions can be infused with a lot of fun and laughter (as appropriate of course!). Clients often comment that they had no idea therapy can be fun.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Business Minor from the University of Alberta in 2012 and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, 2015. Although she initially wanted to study medicine, life took a different path for her and she often says that "this path found me" and she is grateful that life took a different course than she had planned for.
